Astrological Impact of Full Moon in Aquarius 2026: Heal the World As You Heal Yourself

On 29th July 2026 15:36 BST/ 22:36 HKT, we have a Full Moon in Aquarius.

What happened around 17th February 2026 when there was a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, which coincided with the first day of the Lunar New Year?   What new goals did you set yourself?  Did you begin a new project?   Six months on, when the moon is fully illuminated under the same fixed air sign, it is time to clearly see what wasn't obvious before.  It is time to tweak our plans.  Maybe you were hoping to explore certain career options, but optimism is defeated by reality.

This full moon's ruler, Saturn, has only turned retrograde 3 days before on 26th July 2026.  It's time to review your long term plans.  Incidentally, the Barbault Basket is still present, albeit Jupiter has moved on 2 degrees.  This deviation means that Jupiter is now exactly conjunct the Sun, magnifying this full moon axis grandiosely.  I am still none the wiser as to what this basket REALLY means, but let's review my attempt at unravelling this configuration in a previous post, when the backdrop of this basket was the New Moon in Cancer:

"Jupiter in an opposition can be too much of a good thing.  With Pluto tugging hard at the other end, watch out for the tendency to be sucked into a power play where your blind faith, arrogance and over optimism can stop you from releasing out-dated beliefs, hindering transformation to take place.  Luckily, the sextiles and trines to Neptune and Uranus provide opportunities and natural insight to seize the chance to break out of the current constrain and become something greater, especially if it benefits the masses instead of just yourself.  Neptune reminds us of being compassionate and Uranus to be innovative and not to be afraid to try something new. "

The basket is now embedded within the Full Moon in Aquarius, with the focus shifting from home, roots, belonging to daring to standout and be different.  It's giving us another chance to clear out some emotional debris which could be stopping us from breaking free from the prison of our minds.   Change your perspective, see the selfless picture instead of personal gains.  Heal the world as you heal yourself.

Full Moon in Aquarius Themes:

  • Grasp opportunities to be different while benefiting the masses simultaneously
  • Respect what has already been put in place before you add your own magic touch
  • Expand your vision and see the bigger picture

Full Moon in Aquarius 2013

On 21st August, 02:44 BST, we have a full moon in Aquarius at 28 degrees 11 minutes.

A full moon marks the culmination point, where hidden information comes under the spotlight.  It is a great time to tweak existing projects and plans before continuing on to the next phase.

Aspects
The Sun conjunct Mercury in Leo oppose the Aquarius Moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces. This full moon is ruled by Uranus, which is oppose Venus in Libra, forming a T-square to the existing Uranus-Pluto square.

Full Moon Message
We are entitled to our own thoughts and opinions (Sun-Mercury in Leo), and possibly quite proud of them too.  However, this full moon in Aquarius is encouraging us to use our individualism in a wider context - to give back to the community/to contribute to humanity, instead of finding ways to get applause from the audience. The T-Square (Uranus - Pluto - Venus) and the Venus quincunx Neptune are urging us to make adjustments to break out of our own existing (probably tightly-held) personal beliefs and values.  This is a good time to release some outdated beliefs in the area of relationships and to make room for a breath of fresh air.

This full moon straddles my 1st -7th axis, forming a T-square with my natal Moon in 10th (which activates the natal Moon-Uranus opposition).  This is an opportunity for me to release some emotional baggage in order to free up some space for more impersonal concerns.  It's not always about 'me, me, me,' but 'How can I serve in this world?'

Full Moon in Aquarius 2013

On 22nd July 2013 at 19:15 BST, we have a full moon in Aquarius at 0 degrees 06 minutes.  I'm going to be egocentric (quite fitting with the Sun entering Leo at 16:55!) and talk about my own experience of this full moon.

Full Moons are culmination points where hidden factors come to the fore.  It is also a great time to evaluate projects previously started.

For me, this full moon exactly conjunct my natal Venus in the 6th house.  Natally, I have my Venus oppose Jupiter, with the latter conjunct ASC.  the Leo-Aquarius axis brings us the message of being an individual in society.  In addition, we have Venus entering Virgo at 13:40 on the same day.  Virgo is the sign of service; Venus is about our values.

With this cosmic concoction, we are urged to assess our values  (Venus in Virgo) and participate in society (Aquarius) in a way that allows us to shine as an individual (Sun in Leo), but simultaneously serving the greater community (Moon in Aquarius).  Too often, we associate 'success' with global recognition and acclaim.  However, if someone is serving others and making a difference in their own community, is that person not successful just because s/he is unknown to the rest of the world?  It is great to receive applause but let's not lose sight of our individual life purposes.

Besides this exact conjunction of the full moon to my natal Venus, I also have transiting Chiron in Pisces exactly conjunct my Sun and transiting Neptune conjunct my Mars.  I definitely can feel the message there - surrender and be a nobody.  Neptune dissolves everything it touches.  With it conjunct my Mars, self advancement is not favourable as suggested by Rob Hand in his 'Planet in Transit', instead, 'act because you enjoy the action, not because you are trying to win.'  Recently, I got myself involved in a project which I enjoyed immensely.  It took up a lot of my time and there's no monetary reward but for the first time in years, I stopped asking the question, 'What's the point of all this hardwork?'  I simply did not CARE because I was having so much fun doing what I love.  I didn't care if the response was lukewarm.  As far as I'm concerned, I enjoyed the process; I've learned a great deal about the subject and that's all it matters.

What's the full moon reflecting in your life?
